Hello everyone,
I’m writing this update from Cambodia, a beautiful country in Southeast Asia.
I came here to explore the ancient temples, visit friends, and practice jiujitsu! However, it’s been raining nonstop, and I got injured after a week of training every day. My plans fell through—but despite that, I’m still having a wonderful time.
This is me in a tuktuk or rickshaws. People around here get everywhere with them. They’re incredibly cheap and compact, perfect for navigating narrow streets and weaving through traffic during peak hours.
Above is my jiujitsu group. I can’t wait to get back to training once I’ve fully recovered. We gathered here from all corners of the world.
Everywhere I travel, I try to find unique local fabrics and have custom pants or shirts made. It’s a small way to support the local economy—and to carry a practical, beautiful souvenir with me wherever I go. These are some of the fabrics I’ve found so far. Mostly silk—there’s an abundance of it here in Siem Reap.
I’d like to say my life is incredibly exciting, but in reality, it rarely is. When I tell you what the best moment of my stay has been, I think you’ll believe me.
The spider on my friends hat has been following him for the entire day. We tried to get rid of her, but we couldn’t. We been all over the city, and the spider has been there with us, playing on the yellow cotton ocean.
Even with the slow pace and a few setbacks, I’ve learned a lot while here. Mainly, the value of friendship—and respect for the body. Interestingly, these lessons align with the astrological shifts happening during my stay.
- The Full Moon in Sagittarius lit up my 11th house of friendships and achievements
-
Jupiter entered Cancer, which rules my 6th house of health and daily routine
Once again I am reminded that astrology doesn’t command us, it follows us like a shadow. Its presence is inevitable, but its shape is completely dependent on how we decide to move.
The 11th house, touched by the recent Full Moon, is also the house of astrology. And since we began offering free astrology readings with every Cosmic Birthday Candle, I’ve reconnected with my love for chart readings. I used to overthink—research endlessly, read for hours. But it would wear me out, and honestly, it exhausted my clients too.
Now, I’ve realized that 20 minutes is often enough. The answers we seek are usually simple. It’s the doing that’s hard—and that part isn’t up to me.
I’ll update you soon with more beautiful photos from Cambodia and more stories. It looks like the Sun will finally bless us with a few bright days.
