We’re witnessing one of the most significant astrological events of our lifetime: Pluto entering Aquarius. This rare transit only happens once every 248 years, so yes—it’s a huge deal.
But here’s the thing: Pluto moves slowly. Its influence isn’t something we’ll feel all at once. Instead, this is part of a gradual transformation—a shift we’ve already been sensing for a year or two. And while Pluto’s influence often feels distant and impersonal, it’s reshaping the world around us profoundly.
I see it the most in the decentralization the world is experiencing, all made possible with technology. We no longer need big metropolitan hospitals where all the best doctors gather; now, a pair of VR glasses and a joystick are enough to perform the most complex surgeries. What about banks? Many predict they are dying out as well. Financial centers are moving more from big imposing buildings to internet servers.
Are cities becoming obsolete? Not necessarily, but they will look a bit different. More for building communities and centered less around labor.
Along with decentralization as the major theme of Pluto in Aquarius, we also have freedom-loving ideas taking center stage. Aquarius hates abusive authority. Two of the biggest revolutions in recent history—French and American ones — happened when Pluto was in Aquarius the last time. These revolutions didn't put an individual at the center, but an idea! The same thing will happen now: the world will be built around an idea. But what is that idea? That we get to see.
Some astrologers are sounding the alarm about how Pluto in Aquarius marks the rise of technology and alienation of humanity from nature In essence, the supremacy of machines. I would disagree. Simply by studying the symbol of Aquarius, the Waterbearer, we see that the role of Aquarius is to spread the essence of life, knowledge, and love. We can see the cup which holds water as a technological tool that evolved through the ages. Its place is not taken by language models and the internet. Those are our cups filled with the essence of life.
Every change brings dangers with it, but astrology is the language of the universe, it will never speak ill of us. A combination of one sign and one planet cannot be bad.
This is just the beginning of a story that will unfold over the next 20 years, until Pluto leaves Aquarius on January 19, 2044.
So, here’s to navigating this transformative energy together. Let’s embrace the changes, stay curious, and never stop questioning.
Good luck!
