October 6th, 1:33 pm CT - Mercury Square Mars
Have you ever felt like your words are igniting sparks, leading to unintended fires in different relationships? Of course, you have, but during this time, the whole world experiences this dynamic energy at once. It doesn't mean we will get into fights, but it surely means we will be tempted to.
Understanding the Energy
Mercury, the messenger planet, governs communication, intellect, and reasoning. Mars, the warrior planet, embodies action, aggression, and drive. Square brings tensions - and what does a warrior who has trouble communicating do - well, probably they scream! Or if the warrior is weak, they might just break down and try to do everything on their own. This time is also dangerous for making hasty decisions not based on enough information and research.
We can also flip things around and ask ourselves what does the planet of communication do when they are enraged? Well, probably screams as well! But most likely, it goes on tantrums and plots elaborate schemes. We shouldn't forget Mercury is also a planet of trickery.
The biggest lesson during this time is how to harness this energy with intent and mindfulness.
- Pause Before Speaking: Take a moment to think before you express your thoughts. This simple act can prevent misunderstandings and regretful comments.
- Channel Energy Positively: Engage in physical activities like exercise or creative pursuits to release excess tension constructively.
- Practice Active Listening: Focus on truly hearing others rather than formulating your response while they are speaking. This fosters understanding and reduces conflict.
- Set Clear Intentions: Be mindful of your goals during this time. Clear intentions help steer your actions in a positive direction, despite the challenging energy.
Embrace the Growth Opportunity
While Mercury square Mars can be a testing time, it also offers a valuable opportunity for personal growth. And I don't mean learning how to be more nice and mindful, I am talking about truly recognizing what makes you angry and the patterns of communication that follow up behind intense emotions.
