Astrology for the Week: July 28 to August 3

After an exhausting few months of April, May, and part of June, you probably felt incredibly anxious and maybe even lost. Summer is, in a way, a continuation of those feelings for many, but you might have noticed that events are calmer, you have time to work through the issues that came up over the past few months, and I’ll tell you how.

The week ahead is far more intense than the last few because of the ongoing Mercury retrograde and the upcoming retrograde of Chiron.

It will be more emotionally intense. Old traumas may resurface, but you have the opportunity to change the script and work through your past in a productive way, especially in areas where you’ve felt oppressed or your freedom was restricted.

But let’s break it down day by day and see how you can make the most of the upcoming week.

Monday: Moon in Virgo, Venus sextile Chiron (11:55 am CT)
Tuesday: Moon enters Libra (0:42 am CT)
Wednesday: Moon in Libra, Chiron retrograde (9:41 am CT), Venus enters Cancer (10:56 pm CT)
Thursday: Moon enters Scorpio (12:24 pm CT), Mercury conjunct Sun (6:41 pm CT)
Friday: Moon in Scorpio, Venus square Saturn (8:33 am CT), Venus square Neptune (3:48 pm CT)
Saturday: Moon in Scorpio
Sunday: Moon enters Sagittarius (1:00 am CT)

Monday: Analytical Support and Romantic Healing

Today is good for thinking clearly. The Moon in Virgo helps you see things as they are. You’ll also be more open to healing in relationships. Venus and Chiron are working together, so it’s easier to speak about stuff that hurt you. Especially in love. You don’t need to solve everything today, just be honest about what’s there.

One real conversation can change how you see the whole story.

Tuesday: Peaceful Conversations

Moon moves into Libra, which is good for communication and anything that involves other people. If you need to settle something, or just have a decent conversation, today helps. It’s easier to be fair and calm. Also a good day for making plans or coming to agreements.

You don’t have to push, just keep it balanced.

Wednesday: Deep Waters

Chiron goes retrograde in the morning, and Venus enters Cancer later in the day. You’ll start to feel more sensitive. Stuff from the past might come up, especially around old relationships or emotional wounds. If you haven’t dealt with your ex or old situationships during this Mercury retrograde, today might be the day it hits.

Don’t run from it. Feel it and move through it.

Thursday: Mercury Cazimi

Mercury meets the Sun in Leo. This is called cazimi, and it means Mercury is being reborn. Your thinking will get sharper, but not necessarily about the things you want. Your mind might drift into unexpected territory. That’s okay. Let it. There’s something useful there.

Don’t force your thoughts. Let them carry you somewhere interesting.

Friday: Fog and Walls

This one is heavy. Venus is in tough aspects with Saturn and Neptune. You might feel lonely, or like nobody gets you. Love and connection feel harder to reach. Your imagination might go wild with ideas of love or fear of rejection. Neither might be real. Just wait it out.

This is a good day to be alone and not take things too seriously.

Saturday: Still in it

Nothing really changes. The Moon is still in Scorpio. You might feel stuck or moody. Try not to spiral. Don’t text your ex, don’t make bold moves in love, and don’t believe everything your brain tells you.

Give yourself a break. Rest if you need it.

Sunday: A New Outlook

Moon enters Sagittarius. You’ll feel like moving again, like there’s hope. You don’t need to fix your whole life in one day, but you can take a step. Go outside. Plan something new. Call someone who lifts your spirits.

Take the first small step toward something that excites you.

Wrapping up

This week asks you to face some stuff from your past. But it also gives you a chance to deal with it differently this time. Don’t rush to fix it all. Just be honest about what’s real and what’s not working anymore.

Take your time. The big changes come after you’ve sat with the truth for a while.
